How do you prepare a house for painting?

Preparation is key to a quality paint job. We start by protecting your furniture and floors with drop cloths, cleaning surfaces to remove dust and grime, repairing any holes or cracks, sanding, and priming where necessary.

What kind of paint do you use?

We use high-quality paints from 2 sources Sherwin Williams and Berh. You have the option of eco-friendly paints that are low in VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) to ensure a durable finish and a healthier environment. We can also accommodate specific brand requests if you have a preferred paint.

How long does it take to complete a house painting project?

The time required depends on the size of the area being painted and the complexity of the job. Typically, a single room can take 1-2 days, while a full house exterior might take a week or more. We provide a timeline estimate during the initial consultation.

Do I need to leave my house during the painting?

It’s not necessary to leave your house, but for interior projects, we recommend vacating the work area to avoid fumes and disruptions. For exterior projects, you can remain in your home with minimal disruption to your daily routine.

How do I choose the right colors for my home?

We offer color consultation services to help you choose the best colors that match your style and home’s architecture. Our experts can guide you through the selection process based on the latest trends and your personal preferences.

Will you help move furniture and protect my belongings?

Yes, our team will carefully move and protect your furniture, appliances, and other belongings before painting. We cover floors, fixtures, and furniture to prevent any paint splatters. Some restrictions apply. We can discuss on the day of your estimate.

What if the weather changes during an exterior painting job?

We monitor weather conditions closely and schedule exterior painting during optimal weather. If the weather changes unexpectedly, we will pause the project and resume once conditions are favorable to ensure the best results.

What should I do to prepare my home before the painters arrive?

We recommend clearing the work area of any personal items, such as pictures, wall decorations, and small furniture.  It’s also helpful to trim any plants or bushes that might be close to exterior walls if we are painting the outside of your home.

When is payment due? How should I pay?

Payment is collected on the initial interview. This is your down payment to secure a start date, usually 25% of the total job and the remainder is due upon final walk thru and completion of the job.  We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, checks, and bank transfers. Payment schedules can be discussed during the initial consultation.

Can you paint during the winter?

Yes, interior painting can be done year-round. For exterior painting, we usually recommend waiting until the temperature is above 50°F to ensure the paint cures properly.

How do you handle clean-up after the painting is done?

Our team handles all aspects of clean-up, including removing drop cloths, tidying up the workspace, and disposing of any leftover materials. We ensure your home is left in pristine condition.

What if I need touch-ups after the project is completed?

We offer a follow-up service to address any touch-ups needed after the project is complete. Simply contact us, and we’ll arrange a time to make the necessary adjustments at no extra charge.

Are your painters insured and certified?

Yes, all our painters are fully insured and trained professionals. We prioritize safety and quality, ensuring that every project is handled by experienced and qualified personnel.

What do I do with my pets on painting day(s)?

We love pets and respect your pet’s feelings. We recommend that pets are removed from the home or secured before our arrival. We do not take any responsibility for pets.
